My Story
At Green Mountain Busy Bees, I'm proud to provide a caring and safe environment for the ever curious 3, 4 and 5 year old preschooler. Through self-regulation and executive function I teach kids how to be a learner. I create a nurturing, purposeful play, highly engaging learning environment for all children.

I've been in the field of Early Childhood Education for 27 years. I'm a highly skilled ECE teacher that's recently left Jeffco Public schools after 15 years to open my own in home preschool. At Green Mountain Busy Bees each year 12 children under my guidance will be thoroughly prepared to tackle the challenge of Kindergarten with the upmost of confidence and skills!
My proven program incorporates a variety of educational theories and practices such as Tools of the Mind, Handwriting Without Tears, Science of Reading and Heggerty Phonemic Awareness . I always keep the children's minds and bodies busy and allow for hands-on, experiential learning. My Program
Learning Through Play
My educational philosophy is that a solid preschool program builds students' self-regulation and executive functioning skills. I guide children to have a working memory, mental flexibility and self control. This is best done through purposeful play and relevant/engaging learning activities. I teach kids how to be a learner. We question and seek answers! This includes how to deal with emotions, how to pay attention, and how to be a peer who listens to and interacts positively with their classmates.
Tuition 2025-2026
UPK is accepted for all 4 year old children. $610.00 state paid credit is given towards your tuition costs.
School Hours are 8:00-3:00

M-W-F preschool- $630 monthly

After care from 3:00-4:00 daily is $150 monthly

Tuition is paid in 10 equal monthly installments beginning August 1st with the last payment on May 1st.

We use the Jefferson County Public Schools Calendar. We are NOT a year round school. There is NO school in June or July. We are off for Spring Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break and all Public Holidays.

Green Mountain Busy Bees is a curriculum based, whole child approach to Kindergarten readiness. This is NOT daycare. Growth and development will be professionally and beautifully documented for you to keep. Your child will do and learn with a purpose all while having fun! We'll be using the philosophies adopted from Tools of the Mind, Handwriting without Tears and Science of Reading and Heggerty Phonemic Awareness. Together these programs offer lifelong critical thinking skills all while building confidence through exploration and discovery.

My Mission
A small class and a passionate teacher makes a world of difference!
I LOVE to teach and it shows! At Green Mountain Busy Bees I'll accept no more than 12 children to help grow and learn each school year. Monday, Wednesday and Friday my co-techer joins me as we instruct all 12 students together. On Tuesday and Thursday it's just me with no more than 8 students. We want your child's uniqueness to shine! This is only possible when a small class works hard to develop meaningful relationships with their teachers and classmates. We will go above and beyond to provide the right balance of academics, emotional/social development and overall well being of each child entrusted to us here at Busy Bees.
